Golden rays emerge

Golden rays emerge,

Mountains bathed in morning light,

Nature awakens.

"Golden Rays Emerge" is a serene landscape painting rendered in an 11 x 14 oil and cold wax medium. The artwork gracefully captures a tranquil scene where a lush, green meadow unfolds in the foreground, sprinkled with patches of grass and hay bales. The middle ground brings to life a beautiful cluster of trees with vibrant green and purple foliage, their branches stretching toward the sky, showcasing nature's diverse palette.
In the background, majestic mountains rise, their peaks lightly dusted with snow, offering a breathtaking contrast against the verdant scenery below. The expansive sky is dotted with scattered clouds, adding layers of depth and a soothing ambiance to the overall composition. The artist employs soft, blended brushstrokes and a harmonious palette dominated by greens, purples, and blues, creating a calming and peaceful atmosphere.
Inspired by the morning light emerging over a Midway pasture with Mount Timpanogos in the distance, this piece exudes the tranquility of nature at dawn. The unique process of creating this artwork involved a casein underpainting to accelerate drying time, followed by layers of oil and cold wax medium. This technique allowed for a multi-layered buildup of glazing and impasto, adding richness and texture to the serene landscape. The resulting piece is a visual ode to the peace and beauty found in nature's quiet moments.
